Mike,

From curiosity I took a look at the latest update of XFormDBF. I like the idea of splitter, though I would rather place the InputGrid at the top. If the form itself would be resizable, it would be very handy. Also, as I mentioned, the current record in InputGrid should be highlighted (take a look into nncontrols.vcx highlighted in CommonWG\classes). I'd place the information about current record of InputGrid in status bar message (I do it in all my applications Grid.AfterRowColChange method). Also I prefer to see output value result not in wait window (I understand, what it's now a preliminary form), but in textbox/editbox on the form. Say, in the same section, where we have EditBox for editing mapping expression. Also, I don't need to see Output Field Type information, I need this feature for InputGrid fields.

Thanks in advance.

I've uploaded my latest xformdbf and related SplitCon and mdacomm changes to the server machine. This includes the addition of a resizable input grid and optional automatic display of output values as you navigate around on the Fields page. I have not yet had a chance to add input field attributes in grid column headers. Since I'm about to go on a 2 week vacation, I figured it would be best to deliver what I've got now without further delay.

Note that this change requires a 1-time conversion step on any old configuration meta-files you will use with the new version of XFormDBF, to avoid annoying error messages during state restoration. For each old XFormDBF meta-file, you should open it and issue the following (case-sensitive) VFP command line:

DELETE FOR 'Splitcon_2_1' $ cmdline

(I've already run this on the demo meta-file in the d:\redp\appl\xformdbf\ directory.)
