Another good idea, which I will make a note of in the Querier task list. Since denull is really only of interest in the context of Querier, this makes sense. But the main benefit is that it would address the issue of clean error handling. I wouldn't turn this option on by default, however, because it would be an incompatible change, and this extra processing step would not be a typical requirement (although your application may see it differently).
