Explanations of Columns in the Above Table

ID
A unique identifier for each row, corresponding to a bookmark within this page.

Site
The name of a shareware download site, with a hyperlink to the corresponding main page.  This is usually the site's home page, but in some cases of very broad directories, the link points to the top-level entry for the Windows shareware category.

PAD
Indicates whether this site supports PAD-based software submissions.  In cases that do support PAD, the extent of automation varies.

Google Rank
The value of the Google PageRank for the specified link, as obtained via the Google Toolbar.  This is Google's basic measure of the importance of the page, where 0 means of no importance and 10 is the maximum.

Alexa Rank
Alexa's site Traffic Ranking, which is a measure of the site's popularity.  1 is the most popular, with larger numbers sequentially assigned to successively less trafficked sites.

SpaceTime Rank
A Google-like ranking derived from the Google PageRank and the Alexa site Traffic Rank, to yield a single number that gives measure of the site's overall value.  The intention is that this should serve as a guide in prioritizing shareware sites for consideration.  We use the following formula:
        SpaceTimeRank = GoogleRank + (7 - log(AlexaRank))
Thus the SpaceTime Rank can range from 0 (worthless) to 17 (best possible).

Date Ranked
The date on with samplings of Google and Alexa rankings for this entry were obtained and used to compute a SpaceTime Rank.
